Daily Makeup Routine (sem break edition)
Since I spent all of my sem break in Baguio, I had to go for a more subtle and cool look. I wear these products when I know I am going to be out for a while (I went out almost everyday).
Don’t judge, but yes, I wear make up on a daily basis. I love applying it and it boosts my confidence up just a little bit so no one can really stop me from wearing it anymore :P. There’s nothing wrong with putting on make up every day (really), just make sure you don’t put too much, that it makes you look all weird (or aka a clown) and also make sure you clean your face and nourish it properly after.
I suffered from acne throughout high school (which isn’t so long ago), thus the ugly scars on my face still exists and is still in the process of completely healing. To cover this up, I apply on an oil free BB cream from the Face Shop. I opt for oil free products just because my face falls more under the oily category of skin. This product is nice since it leaves your face matte and has good coverage without feeling heavy. I apply a matte bronzer from Smashbox as well, to give me some color because I haven’t been under the sun for a while, and I’ve been a lot paler than before. To top it all off, I apply on a translucent powder from Bare Minerals to just set everything and remove any excess shine.
I’m unfortunately born with scarce eyebrows, so I have to fill it in with a black-brown eye brow pencil. I brush it out with an eye brow brush to make it look more fuzzy and natural, rather than rigid and obviously drawn on.
Your face throughout the day, naturally produces oil, including your lids. With the eye shape that I have, liner or eye shadow always ends up getting ruined throughout the day because of all the movements and oils produced. That is why, I first apply on my Urban Decay primer potion for the eyes. Then I line my eyes with a black liquid liner. It doesn’t smudge at all!
To keep my lips moisturized throughout the day, I apply the Cranberry Joy dome lip balm from the body shop. It has a slight, dark berry-pink tint as well, which looks great contrary to lighter skin tones, like mine at the moment.
